abstract = "A superf{\'{\i}}cie do estado de S{\~a}o Paulo {\'e} recoberta
geogr{\'a}ficas. Entre esses usos, a cana-de-a{\c{c}}{\'u}car,
o milho e a soja ocupam a maior parte das {\'a}reas
agr{\'{\i}}colas do estado. Apesar de essas culturas
possu{\'{\i}}rem grande import{\^a}ncia para o cen{\'a}rio
agr{\'{\i}}cola, elas ainda n{\~a}o s{\~a}o monitoradas
sistematicamente em tempo quase-real. Como os dados de estimativas
agr{\'{\i}}colas possuem grande import{\^a}ncia nas tomadas de
S{\~a}o Paulo, em tempo-quase real (per{\'{\i}}odos bimensais),
utilizando sensoriamento remoto (SR) e classifica{\c{c}}{\~o}es
visual e autom{\'a}tica de imagens multitemporais OLI. Tr{\^e}s
Paulo (A1), o munic{\'{\i}}pio de C{\^a}ndido Mota/SP (A2) e
quinze munic{\'{\i}}pios cont{\'{\i}}guos localizados a
2014/15 [ P1 (Nov/Dez), P2 (Jan/Fev), P3 (Mar/Abr) e P4 (Mai/Jun)
] e classificados no escrit{\'o}rio, utilizando protocolo de
classifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o visual e 432 imagens multitemporais OLI
em composi{\c{c}}{\~a}o colorida falsa-cor RGB (564) e em
Apar{\^e}ncia Equalizada (ApEq).
classifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o autom{\'a}tica. Em (a), oito
int{\'e}rpretes classificaram visualmente
cana-de-a{\c{c}}{\'u}car, soja e milho utilizando protocolo de
classifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o desenvolvido na presente pesquisa. Em
(b), a an{\'a}lise de imagem orientada a objetos OBIA/Random
outubro/2014, janeiro/2015 e maio/2015.
total de {\'a}rea ocupada com milho semelhante {\`a}
Produ{\c{c}}{\~a}o Agr{\'{\i}}cola Municipal (PAM/IBGE), com
uma subestima{\c{c}}{\~a}o de 4\%, por{\'e}m, com as vantagens
do mapa tem{\'a}tico oferecer a espacializa{\c{c}}{\~a}o e em
tempo quase-real. Em rela{\c{c}}{\~a}o {\`a}
cana-de-a{\c{c}}{\'u}car, a subestimativa foi de 11\%. Quanto
{\`a} soja, no per{\'{\i}}odo das imagens utilizadas
(maio/junho) n{\~a}o havia a cultura. Conclui-se, ent{\~a}o, que
a classifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o visual baseada em dados multitemporais
OLI, para cana, milho e soja no ESP, {\'e} vi{\'a}vel para
levantamentos agr{\'{\i}}colas em tempo quase-real
int{\'e}rprete para todo o Estado. Quanto {\`a}
classifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o autom{\'a}tica, h{\'a} ainda a
ABSTRACT:
The S{\~a}o Paulo state surface is covered by various types of
land use and land covers, distributed in different geographical
positions. Among these uses, sugarcane, corn and soybeans occupy
the most agricultural areas of the state. Although these cultures
possess great importance for the agricultural scenario, they are
not systematically monitored in near-real time. As agricultural
estimates data are of great importance in decision making, this
research was aimed at evaluating the possibility of obtaining the
value of occupied area by crops of sugarcane, maize and soybeans
in the S{\~a}o Paulo state in near- real time (bi-monthly
periods) using remote sensing (RS) and visual and automatic
classification of multitemporal OLI images. Three different
areas-tests were evaluated: the State of S{\~a}o Paulo (A1), the
municipality of C{\^a}ndido Mota / SP (A2) and fifteen contiguous
municipalities in the south-west state of S{\~a}o Paulo (A3). The
specific objectives of each test area were in A1 to inform the
value of the occupied area with sugarcane, maize and soybeans for
the S{\~a}o Paulo state, in periods of two months of the 2014/15
crop year; A2 to validate field information, to develop a visual
classification protocol and evaluate it; and A3 to evaluate the
performance of automatic classification. For A1, 5,000 random
pixels were stratified into each mesoregion of the state, in each
period of the crop year 2014/15 [P1 (Nov / Dec), P2 (Jan / Feb),
P3 (Mar / Apr) and P4 (May / Jun )] and to classify in office,
using visual classification protocol and 432 multi-temporal OLI
images in false-color composite RGB (564) and Equalized Appearance
(ApEq). The ApEq is a radiometric equalization process of
multi-temporal images and executed so that no major changes
occurred in the resulting color of pseudo-invariant targets
present in different mosaic from OLI images. In A2, 200 pixels OLI
were drawn on the city of C{\^a}ndido Mota / SP and investigated
in the field in the period from 13\$^{rd}\$ to 17\$^{th}\$
April / 2015. These 200 pixels were used to: (a) visual
classification and (b) automatic classification. In (a), eight
visual classified performers sugarcane, soybeans and corn using
classification protocol developed in this research. In (b), the
object-based image analysis / Random Forest with segmentation via
Multi-Resolution Segmentation (MR-S) was applied. Were generated
1150 classification models, formed by varying the scale factor
parameters (Fe), form (Fm) and compactness (Cp) of the SM-R
algorithm applied in four multi-temporal images OLI 222/076, dated
August / 2014 October / 2014 January / 2015 and May / 2015.
Another 200 pixels were randomly selected on A3 and validated by
visual classification using the protocol of this research. The
main results are: the ApEq allowed, effectively, a homogenization
of the vegetation's spectral response in different orbits and
dates, having obtained multitemporal mosaics standardized for all
ESP. For visual classification performed on A2 for eight
performers, the overall accuracy average was 94.5\%. For
automatic classification carried out in A3 via OBIA / Random
Forest, the overall accuracy was 86.5\%. The thematic map
produced in A3 showed the total area occupied with maize similar
to the Municipal Agricultural Production (PAM / IBGE), with an
underestimation of 4\%, but with the advantages of the thematic
map provide the spatial and in near- real time. Regarding
sugarcane, underestimates was 11\%. Regarding soybeans, the
period of the images used (May / June) there was no culture. It
follows, then, that the visual classification based on
multi-temporal OLI dates for sugarcane, maize and soybeans in the
ESP, it is feasible for agricultural surveys in near-real time
(bi-monthly periods) and can be performed by just one interpreter
for all State. As for automatic classification, there is still a
need for further developments, especially with regard to
definitions of edge pixels.",
